All other Aiseesoft software that I've tried has been very good, and I hope Aiseesoft will soon offer an upgraded version of Screen Recorder 1.0.8. I suspect that the program offered today is offered as a market test, because the output just isn't good enough that I'd want to show it to anybody else. I wouldn't bother installing this program on a slower machine. The screen recorder is a bit of resource hog and slowed down my computer, which as only a Core2Duo 3.00 GHz, and 4 GB. The program records at a low frame rate and low resolution, but one's screen is recognizable when the output file is played in WMP. ![]() No choices of output format or frame rate or codec are offered movement in the recorded video is very jerky. wmv format, and plays well on Windows Media Player but is unusable on VLC Media Player. ![]() The program starts quickly and is very easy to use because it offers few choices. I had to register it once in each user account the same registration code was accepted each time. This program was installed for all users on Win 7 Pro. I appreciate, it's desirable that when something is broken, then it should be fixed. I have to say that although it was mildly irritating to be regularly confronted with a comments thread that began with some idiot posting "Hey! Look at me! I'm the first to post here!", that's as nothing compared to the irritation experienced today with an un-sortable thread that's running backwards and which doesn't have post numbers, either. I've been a GOATD fan since it went live on its first day and greatly admire those responsible for pioneering what is, in fact, an entire Internet sub-genre. Pre "new look" it was a simple enough matter to comment on a post by simply beginning one's comment with a reference post #" and that was that: hardly a Herculean effort. Yes, comments on a post can now be made in-line, but that one-step-forward move has been coupled with a two-steps-back, such that comments, now, are no longer numbered. ![]() Though I suspect that today's bizarre rearrangement is a one-off glitch, I have to second the views of other GAOTDers who have found the "improved look" to be a disappointment. That being the case, there is no "sort" box on this page, so Firefox users are left to contemplate a comments thread that, today, makes little sense. TK Like others here, I'm using Firefox and see no reason to have to change the browser to anything else.
